Mustangs vs Knights Final: 55-28 - Recap
Tanner Mordecai's 377-yard performance through the air was the key in SMU's 55-28 win over UCF on Saturday at Gerald J. Ford Stadium.
SMU was the ATS victor, as they covered the -7.0-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 61.5 were rewarded at the payout window.
Tanner Mordecai completed 37 of 54 pass attempts for 377 yards for the Mustangs in the win.
Mark-Antony Richards rushed for 104 yards for UCF, while Johnny Richardson added 27 yards. Mikey Keene threw for 174 yards for the Knights, while receivers Jaylon Robinson and Ryan O'Keefe had 50 and 44 yards respectively.
UCF was outgained by SMU 631-333 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 36-15 by the Mustangs.
SMU led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 32:38-27:22 split in that important category.
Next game, SMU takes its act on the road to face Cincinnati looking for another win. For UCF, they head home to face UCONN.
