Kansas State Defeats Texas Tech 44-38 - Recap

The Red Raiders had no answer for Charles Jones on Saturday as the Wildcats rolled to a 44-38 win at Snyder Family Stadium.

The Wildcats won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -10.0-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.

Charles Jones rushed for 128 yards, while Jesse Ertz added 83 yards in the win. Isaiah Zuber and Byron Pringle added 35 and 26 receiving yards respectively.

Demarcus Felton rushed for 66 yards for Texas Tech, while Quinton White added 8 yards. Patrick Mahomes threw for 504 yards for the Red Raiders, while receivers Keke Coutee and Devin Lauderdale had 130 and 92 yards respectively.

Texas Tech outgained Kansas State 592-335 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 33-21 by the Red Raiders.

Kansas State lost the time of possession battle 31:22-28:38, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Kansas State takes its act on the road to face Oklahoma looking for another win. For Texas Tech, they head home to face West Virginia.
