Texas A&M Defeats South Carolina 24-17 - Recap
The Gamecocks came up short against the Aggies in Week 5 action on Saturday, falling 24-17 at Kyle Field.
The Aggies earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -8.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 49.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Kellen Mond rushed for 95 yards, while Keith Ford added 70 yards in the win. Jhamon Ausbon and Damion Ratley added 43 and 40 receiving yards respectively.
Ty'Son Williams rushed for 73 yards for South Carolina, while A.J. Turner added 0 yards. Jake Bentley threw for 256 yards for the Gamecocks, while receivers Shi Smith and Hayden Hurst had 86 and 76 yards respectively.
South Carolina lost the offensive yardage battle to Texas A&M 396-279 yards in Saturday's game. Texas A&M had more first downs as that total ended up 20-14.
The time of possession battle favored Texas A&M as their offense was on the field for 34:07, longer than the 25:53 of their opponents.
Texas A&M heads into a Week 6 battle against Alabama. South Carolina, meanwhile, will have their next action against Arkansas.
