Recap - Cowboys Defeat San Jose State 24-9

Nico Evans scampered through the San Jose State defense for 187 yards as Wyoming handed the Spartans a 24-9 defeat on Saturday at War Memorial Stadium-WY.

The Cowboys won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -17.5-point spread. UNDER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an UNDER play.

Nico Evans rushed for 187 yards, while Sean Chambers added 129 yards in the win. Austin Fort and Tyree Mayfield added 28 and 13 receiving yards respectively.

Tyler Nevens rushed for 70 yards for San Jose State, while Leki Nunn added 3 yards. Josh Love threw for 173 yards for the Spartans, while receivers Josh Oliver and Tre Walker had 66 and 26 yards respectively.

Wyoming outgained San Jose State 475-244 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 22-15 by the Cowboys.

San Jose State lost the time of possession battle 36:21-23:39, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Wyoming heads into a Week 12 battle against Air Force. San Jose State, meanwhile, will have their next action against Utah State.
