Jayhawks Fall 21-17 Against Kansas State - Game Recap

Kansas State got a 117-yard performance from Alex Barnes as a key part of its 21-17 victory over the Jayhawks on Saturday at Snyder Family Stadium.

Kansas State did not, however, defeat the Jayhawks against the spread, which closed at -8.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 46.0.

Alex Barnes rushed for 117 yards, while Alex Delton added 55 yards in the win. Dalton Schoen and Isaiah Zuber added 48 and 26 receiving yards respectively.

Pooka Williams Jr. rushed for 59 yards for Kansas, while Khalil Herbert added 53 yards. Peyton Bender threw for 232 yards for the Jayhawks, while receivers Steven Sims and Jeremiah Booker had 113 and 35 yards respectively.

Kansas State lost the offensive yardage battle to Kansas 347-301 yards in Saturday's game. Kansas had more first downs as that total ended up 19-17.

Kansas led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:11-26:49 split in that important category.

Kansas State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Texas Tech. Kansas will aim to get back on the winning track at Oklahoma.
