Eagles Fall 24-16 Against Pittsburgh - Game Recap

The Steelers were Pre-Season Week 1 winners on Thursday, coming out on top of the Eagles by a score of 24-16 at Lincoln Financial Field.

Tony Brooks-James rushed for 51 yards, while Jaylen Samuels added 45 yards in the win. Rico Bussey and Diontae Johnson added 45 and 41 receiving yards respectively.

Jason Huntley rushed for 15 yards for Philadelphia, while Kenneth Gainwell added 14 yards. Joe Flacco threw for 178 yards for the Eagles, while receivers Quez Watkins and Dallas Goedert had 79 and 34 yards respectively.

Philadelphia lost the offensive yardage battle to Pittsburgh 410-277 yards in Thursday's game. Pittsburgh had more first downs as that total ended up 28-10.

Philadelphia lost the time of possession battle 41:18-18:42, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Pittsburgh looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Lions. The Eagles will aim to get back on the winning track vs. New England.
