Nashville Ices Washington 6-5 - Recap

Nashville got a pair of goals from Ryan Johansen as the Predators skated to a 6-5 victory over Washington on Thursday at Bridgestone Arena.

The Predators were a -136 favorite in the win. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 5.5.

Ryan Johansen(2), Matt Duchene, Nick Bonino, Mattias Ekholm, and Filip Forsberg each scored for the Predators in the victory. Forsberg opened the scoring for Nashville.

Pekka Rinne stopped 21 of 26 Washington shots in the victory.

Washington got goals from Alex Ovechkin(2), Lars Eller, Tom Wilson, and T.J. Oshie in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Braden Holtby stopped 32 of 38 shots for the Capitals, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Nashville went 1-for-4, while the Capitals were 2-for-4 with the man advantage.

Washington lost the shots on goal battle to Nashville by a margin of 38-26.

Next game, Nashville takes its act on the road to face Los Angeles looking for another win. For Washington, they head on the road to face Dallas.
