Washington Falls 5-2 to Canadiens - Recap

Montreal skated to a 5-2 victory over Washington on Friday in NHL action at Capital One Arena.

Washington got goals from Alex Ovechkin, and Evgeny Kuznetsov in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Ilya Samsonov stopped 35 of 39 shots for the Capitals, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Montreal went 0-for-1, while the Capitals were 1-for-1 with the man advantage.

Montreal outshot Washington 40-27 in the game.

Montreal looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Devils. The Capitals will aim to get back on the winning track at Boston.
