Flames Fall 4-1 Against Edmonton - Game Recap

Edmonton skated to a 4-1 victory over Calgary on Saturday in NHL action at Rogers Place.

The Oilers were a -133 favorite in the win. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 6.0.

Josh Archibald, Darnell Nurse, Ethan Bear, and Connor McDavid each scored for the Oilers in the victory. McDavid opened the scoring for Edmonton.

Mike Smith turned in a 29-save effort for the Oilers.

Johnny Gaudreau scored for the Flames, finding the net behind Mike Smith.

Jacob Markstrom stopped 25 of 27 shots for the Flames, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Edmonton went 1-for-2, while the Flames were 0-for-3 with the man advantage.

Edmonton lost the shots on goal battle to Calgary by a margin of 30-29.

Next game, Edmonton takes its act on the road to face Vancouver looking for another win. For Calgary, they head home to face Winnipeg.
