Murray State Defeats Mississippi Valley State 108-60 - Recap
The battle between Murray State and Mississippi Valley State didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Mississippi Valley State was handed a 108-60 defeat on Friday at CFSB Center.
Murray State got 15 points from Brayden Shorter and another 13 points from Fred King. KJ Tenner contributed 6 assists, while Mason Miller cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
Mississippi Valley State got a 17-point performance from Daniel Mayfield, who was supported by 14 points from Michael James. Michael James had 2 assists in a losing cause for Mississippi Valley State, while Samuel Murray grabbed 10 rebounds.
Murray State was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Murray State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 40-35.
Murray State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the SMU. Mississippi Valley State will aim to get back on the winning track at Hawaii.
