The battle between North Dakota and Mayville State didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Mayville State was handed a 128-58 defeat on Tuesday at Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.
North Dakota got 22 points from Micah Curtis and another 19 points from Garrett Anderson. Anthony Smith III contributed 7 assists, while Marley Curtis cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
Mayville State got 8 points from Malik Siggers in a losing cause and another 8 points from Isaiah Smith. Gavin Krogstad contributed 2 assists for them, while Isaiah Smith had 3 rebounds.
North Dakota was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
North Dakota won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 47-17.
