Recap - Cyclones Defeat TCU 20-17
The Horned Frogs had no answer for Carson Hansen on Saturday as the Cyclones rolled to a 20-17 win at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
Bettors who backed the Cyclones were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as an underdog of +7.5 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go UNDER the closing total of 58.5.
Carson Hansen rushed for 108 yards, while Abu Sama III added 30 yards in the win. Chase Sowell and Benjamin Brahmer added 31 and 23 receiving yards respectively.
Jeremy Payne rushed for 71 yards for TCU, while Kevorian Barnes added 25 yards. Josh Hoover threw for 319 yards for the Horned Frogs, while receivers Jordan Dwyer and Eric McAlister had 108 and 107 yards respectively.
Iowa State lost the offensive yardage battle to TCU 432-272 yards in Saturday's game. TCU had more first downs as that total ended up 30-15.
TCU led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 32:36-27:24 split in that important category.
Next game, Iowa State takes its act home to face Kansas looking for another win. For TCU, they head on the road to face BYU.
