Las Vegas - If you don't know much about Miami's Jim Larranaga, here's some stuff on my man from the Bronx. He might not be as well known as Houston's Kelvin Sampson, but he has been on this stage before, a few times. He took a lightly regarded George Mason team to the Final Four back in 2006, and has put the Hurricanes in the Sweet 16 (2016) and Elite Eight last year. Sampson has 731 career wins while Jimmy L. has 723. And Larranaga ALWAYS has his kids ready, and they ALWAYS plays the opposition tough. The last seven losses have been by 6, 2, 2, 3, 1 and 7 points. They KNOW how to hang around and they KNOW how to travel, covering 10 of the last 12 on the road. Can't argue with the Cougars results, winning 15 of the last 16, but against the spread, it's a DIFFERENT story. They've covered only three of the last 11, and drag an 0-5, yea, OH & FIVE spread run on the road into Kansas City. While a W is certainly possible, gotta ride the Hurricanes to the spread bank, and if you can buy the hook to plus eight, get some!
