College Football Holiday Weekend Bowl Odds

With Christmas coming on Sunday college football delivers a light bowl schedule this weekend with only four games

Getting things started on Friday is the Bahamas Bowl between the Eastern Michigan Eagles and the Old Dominion Monarchs. The Eagles are in their first bowl game since 1987 when they upset San Jose State 30-27 in the California Bowl as a 17.5-point underdog. Heading into their clash with Old Dominion the Eagles are 6-4 straight up and 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 games.

The Monarchs have won their last five games while going 4-0-1 ATS. They’re playing in their first ever FBS Bowl and are listed as a 4-point favorite at the Bovada sportsbook. In two previous matchups with the Eagles the Monarchs are 2-0 SU but 0-2 ATS.

Saturday’s bowl festivities kick off with the Armed Forces Bowl between the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and the Navy Midshipmen. The Bulldogs are 7-2 SU and 6-3 ATS in their last nine games and come in as a 5-point favorite. In eight bowl appearances they are 4-3-1 SU.

Navy has dropped their last two games after being upset by Army 21-17 as a 6-point favorite last time out. In their lone Armed Forces Bowl appearance in 2012 they defeated Middle Tennessee 24-6 as a 6.5-point favorite. In two games against Louisiana Tech the Midshipmen are 2-0 SU and ATS.

In the Dollar General Bowl it’s the Ohio Bobcats versus the Troy Trojans with Troy a 4-point favorite. Ohio has had bad luck in bowl games at 2-7 SU, while Troy is 2-3 SU in its five FBS bowl appearances.

Ohio and Troy met up in the 2011 New Orleans Bowl and the Trojans rolled to a 48-21 win as a 2-point favorite. Troy heads into this matchup 8-2 SU and 5-5 ATS in their last 10 games, while Ohio has paid UNDER bettors at 8-1 UNDER in their last nine games.

The last bowl game this weekend is the Hawaii Bowl between the Hawaii Warriors and the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, with the Raiders set as 5-point chalk.

The Blue Raiders are 1-4 SU and ATS in their last five bowl games, including a 45-31 loss to Western Michigan as a 3-point underdog in last year’s Bahamas Bowl.

The Warriors are playing in the Hawaii Bowl for the seventh time. In their last six appearances, they are 3-3 SU and 2-4 ATS. Hawaii enters the postseason having lost their last five games ATS.
