College Football Week 3 Betting Preview

The No. 1-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide are 28-point home favorites this week against the Colorado State Rams. Alabama is 28-1 SU in its last 29 games and 18-11 ATS. The Rams are a surprising 8-3 ATS in their last 11 and on the road have covered in five straight and seven of their last eight.

The No. 8 Ohio State Buckeyes are coming off a big upset loss to Oklahoma but look to rebound when they face the Army Black Knights as a 31-point favorite. The Buckeyes have been shredding bettors’ bankrolls lately at 8-3 SU and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games. When favored by 30 points or more, Ohio State is 3-7 ATS in the last 10.

The No. 9 Oklahoma State Cowboys are a 13-point road favorite this week when they visit the Pittsburgh Panthers. The Cowboys have won their last 10 as a road favorite while going 7-3 ATS. Pittsburgh is 8-5 in its last 13 games as a home underdog.

The No. 12 Wisconsin Badgers are also a road favorite by 14.5 points this weekend at the BYU Cougars. The Badgers are 9-1 SU in their last 10 but only 5-3-2 ATS. BYU has lost two in a row SU and four straight ATS, but as a home underdog the Cougars are a surprising 3-2 SU and 4-1 ATS in their last five.

Finally, a game USC fans have been waiting over a decade for arrives this weekend when the No. 4 Trojans host the Texas Longhorns as a 17.5-point favorite. This is their first meeting since Texas upset USC in the 2006 national title game. USC has won 11 straight while going 8-3 ATS. Texas has lost its last four SU versus Pac-12 opponents, but the Longhorns are 5-2 ATS in their last seven against the conference.
