College Football Week 4 Betting Preview

Three ranked matchups highlight the Saturday college football schedule, starting with a top-10 clash between the No. 7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs.

At Bovada Sportsbook, the Bulldogs are 14.5-point home favorites.

Georgia improved to 3-0 straight up and 2-1 against the spread on the season last week after blanking the Arkansas State Red Wolves 55-0 as a 32.5-point favorite. At home Georgia has won 15 straight while going 8-7 ATS. In their last five games against Independent teams, the Bulldogs are 5-0 SU and 2-3 ATS.

Notre Dame defeated the New Mexico Lobos 66-14 as a 34.5-point favorite last week to improve to 2-0 SU and 1-1 ATS. On the road, the Fighting Irish have won five straight at 2-2-1 ATS, but as an underdog they’re 1-6 SU and 3-4 ATS in their last seven.

The last time the Bulldogs and Fighting Irish met up in 2017, Georgia won 20-19 as a 5-point underdog.

Wolverines have lost 13 straight as an underdog

In the Big Ten on Saturday, the No. 13 Wisconsin Badgers host the No. 11 Michigan Wolverines as a 3.5-point favorite.

Wisconsin crushed the Central Michigan Chippewas 61-0 last week as a 35-point favorite. At home the Badgers are 6-2 SU and 2-6 ATS in their last eight, and in September they’re 42-1 SU in their last 43 games.

Michigan edged the Army Black Knights 24-21 as a 22-point favorite last week for its sixth straight loss ATS. As an underdog, the Wolverines have lost 13 in a row SU while going 6-7 ATS.

Last season Michigan defeated Wisconsin 38-13 as a 10-point home favorite. At home, the Badgers have won four straight SU vs Michigan and five in a row ATS.

Road team has been strong bet in Tigers-Aggies matchup

The other ranked matchup on the Saturday schedule is the No. 8 Auburn Tigers at the No. 17 Texas A&M Aggies as a 3.5-point underdog.

The Tigers are 3-0 SU and ATS on the season after defeating the Kent State Golden Flashes 55-16 as a 36-point favorite last week. On the road Auburn is 1-3 SU and ATS in its last four, and 4-7 SU and 4-6-1 ATS in the last 11.

The Aggies blasted the Lamar Cardinals 62-3 as a 45-point favorite last week. They’re 6-1 SU and ATS in their last seven, and at home they’re 9-1 ATS in their last 10. When favored, the Aggies have won 17 straight at 12-5 ATS.

Last season Auburn defeated Texas A&M 28-24 as a 3.5-point favorite. In this matchup, the road team is 6-1 SU and 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven games.
