College Football Week 6 Betting Preview

The Red River Rivalry will be renewed this weekend as the No. 3 Texas Longhorns play host to the No. 12 Oklahoma Sooners. And at the Bovada Sportsbook Texas is a 6.5-point favorite. This is a neutral site matchup being played at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

Texas is coming off a 40-14 rout of the Kansas Jayhawks as 15.5-point favorites that improved its season record to 5-0 straight up and 3-2 against the spread. When favored the Longhorns have won four straight games at 2-2 ATS, and they’ve won four straight ATS against Big 12 opponents.

Oklahoma is 5-0 SU and ATS following last week’s 50-20 win over the Iowa State Cyclones as 19.5-point favorites. On the road the Sooners are a disappointing 5-5 SU and 4-5-1 ATS in their last 10 games, and as an underdog they’ve lost six straight at 2-3-1 ATS.

Last season Texas blanked Oklahoma 49-0 as 7.5-point favorites. In this matchup Oklahoma is 7-3 SU and ATS in the last 10 games, but they’ve lost four straight against Texas as an underdog.

Georgia hosts Kentucky as big betting favorite

In the SEC this weekend the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs host the No. 20 Kentucky Wildcats as 14.5-point favorites.

Georgia has won 22 straight games with a 10-11-1 ATS record after last week’s 27-20 win over the Auburn Tigers as 14-point favorites. This season they’re 0-4-1 ATS. At home the Bulldogs have won 21 straight with a 7-13-1 ATS mark.

Kentucky improved to 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS last week after defeating the Florida Gators 33-14 as 1-point favorites. The Wildcats are 5-1 SU and ATS in their last six road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games versus teams with winning records.

Last season Georgia defeated Kentucky 16-6 as 22.5-point favorites. In this matchup Georgia has won 13 straight with a 7-6 ATS record, which includes losing four straight ATS.

LSU favored on the road in battle of the Tigers

And sticking in the SEC, this weekend the No. 23 LSU Tigers face the No. 21 Missouri Tigers as 6.5-point road favorites.

LSU was upset by the Mississippi Rebels last week, losing 55-49 as 2.5-point favorites. LSU is 1-3 ATS in its last four games when favored and against SEC opponents the Tigers are 1-5 ATS in their last six. For totals bettors LSU has been a solid OVER play with nine straight OVER results.

Missouri is 5-0 SU and 3-2 ATS following last week’s 38-21 win over the Vanderbilt Commodores as 14-point favorites. As a home underdog Missouri is 4-1 SU and 5-0 ATS in its last five games, and 8-2 ATS in its last 10.

The last time LSU and Missouri faced off in 2020 Missouri upset LSU 45-41 as 14-point underdogs.
