College Football Week 7 Betting Preview

The No. 2 Clemson Tigers get an early start to Week 7 with a Friday night matchup with the Syracuse Orange.

The Tigers are 22.5-point road favorites at Bovada Sportsbook and are riding an 11-game winning streak straight up while going 7-4 against the spread. Clemson has also won 12 straight on the road with a 6-6 mark ATS. The Orange are 3-7 SU and 4-5-1 ATS in their last 10 games and as a home underdog they’re 2-10 SU and 6-6 ATS in their last 12.

Also on Friday night the No. 8 Washington State Cougars take on the California Golden Bears as a 14.5-point road favorite. The Cougars are on a six-game winning streak SU and they’ve won their last four games ATS. The Golden Bears have lost three straight SU, but as a home underdog they’re 5-3 SU and 6-2 ATS in their last eight.

The biggest spread in the Top 25 this week is the Missouri Tigers at the No. 4 Georgia Bulldogs, with Georgia a 31-point favorite. The Bulldogs have won seven straight SU at 6-1 ATS, and they’ve won their last five SU and ATS in their conference. Missouri has lost 10 in a row on the road at 2-8 ATS and is 1-4 SU and 3-2 ATS in its last five versus Georgia.

The No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide are a 30-point home favorite this week against the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Tide have won six straight at 3-3 ATS and they’re also 6-0 SU and 3-3 ATS in their last six versus Arkansas. The Razorbacks are on a seven-game losing streak ATS with a 2-5 SU mark, but in their last eight as a road underdog they’re a surprising 7-1 ATS.

The No. 13 USC Trojans are a 13-point home favorite this week against the Utah Utes. USC has won 13 straight SU at home with a 7-6 ATS record, but overall is 1-6 ATS in its last seven games. The Utes are 4-1-1 ATS in their last six and on the road they’ve won five in a row ATS.

The No. 17 Michigan Wolverines will look to rebound from an upset loss last week when they face the Indiana Hoosiers as a 7-point road favorite. As road chalk, the Wolverines are 8-1 SU in their last nine, but only 4-5 ATS. The Hoosiers are 1-8 SU in their last nine as a home underdog and against Michigan they’ve dropped 15 in a row at 7-8 ATS.

The No. 9 Ohio State Buckeyes are also road favorites this week as 24-point chalk versus the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The Buckeyes are 3-6 ATS in their last nine games and as a road favorite they’re 21-1 SU and 13-9 ATS in their last 22. Nebraska is 3-5 SU and 2-6 ATS in its last eight, and 3-0 ATS in the last three versus the Buckeyes.
