Giants and Reds look to get back on track

The San Francisco Giants are just 1-6 in their last seven games and the Cincinnati Reds are 2-7 in their last nine games. Something’s gotta give when the two teams meet for a four-game series starting this Monday in Cincinnati.

San Francisco has won three straight against the Reds with a sweep in Cincinnati the last time these two teams met. Bronson Arroyo will take the mound Monday for the Reds and is currently a -171 favorite at 5Dimes against Michael Kickham (+161) and the Giants.

Later in the week, first place in the AL Central could be on the line when the Detroit Tigers visit the Cleveland Indians for a four-game series starting on Friday. Detroit is 9-3 in its last 12 games against the Indians including a current five-game winning streak.

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal were handed early exits at Wimbledon, leaving Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray as the clear favorites to win the tournament. Djokovic is going off at 10/11 and Murray is 3/2 to win Wimbledon at Bovada. The men’s quarterfinals will be played on Wednesday, the semifinals will be played on Friday, and the final will be on Sunday.

Serena Williams has been completely dominant in women’s tennis of late, and is a commanding 1/4 favorite at Bovada to win Wimbledon with Maria Sharapova eliminated early. The women’s quarterfinal is on Tuesday, semifinals are on Thursday, and final is on Saturday.

One of the most highly-anticipated UFC title fights of the year is scheduled for this Saturday when the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, Anderson “The Spider” Silva, takes on the undefeated Chris “All-American” Weidman. Silva is a -260 favorite at Bovada and has looked virtually unbeatable over his current stretch of 17 straight victories, but some believe that Weidman (+200) has the goods to give Silva a run for his money.

On the undercard (all lines provided by Bovada), Frankie Edgar is a commanding -550 favorite over Charles Oliveira (+375). Other matchups include Roger Gracie (+120) vs. Tim Kennedy (-150), Cub Swanson (-230) vs. Dennis Siver, and Mark Munoz (-140) vs. Tim Boetsch (+110).
