NBA Betting: Cavaliers Looking to End a Skid

The Cleveland Cavaliers look to bounce back from a short two-game losing streak on Thursday night when they visit the Detroit Pistons.

Cleveland has dropped back-to-back games to the Miami Heat, taking a 106-98 loss on Monday night as a 9.5-point favorite at the Bovada sportsbook. That loss continued their recent poor showings against the spread, as they are 1-5 ATS in their last six games.

Hitting the road may not help matters as the Cavaliers are 5-6 ATS in their last 11 road games and 6-10 ATS in their last 16.

Detroit will be playing the second game of a back-to-back after dueling the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night. Heading into Wednesday night the Pistons had won three of their last four SU and ATS and they’re 8-2 SU and ATS in their last 10 at home.

Back on December 26 the Pistons defeated Cleveland 106-90 as a 5-point favorite with LeBron James sitting out. Prior to that Cleveland had won their last five versus Detroit at 3-2 ATS. In their last nine trips to Detroit the Cavaliers are 7-2 SU and 5-4 ATS.

Also on Thursday night the San Antonio Spurs drop in on the struggling Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Spurs have won their last eight games following a 112-110 win over the Houston Rockets on Monday as a 3.5-point favorite. By failing to cover the spread they’ve lost four in a row ATS.

The Thunder are on a four-game losing streak SU and ATS after a 126-121 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday as a 7-point favorite. That snapped the Thunder’s four-game home winning streak both SU and ATS.

In late January the Spurs defeated the Thunder 108-94 as a 9.5-point home favorite. Even with the loss the Thunder are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 versus the Spurs and at home they’re a strong 13-3 SU and ATS in their last 16.

Finally, Thursday night delivers the fourth meeting of the season between the Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies.

The Clippers took two of the first three meetings both SU and ATS. Los Angeles is also 6-2 SU and 4-4 ATS in their last eight versus the Grizzlies and in their last nine games in Memphis they are 6-3 SU and ATS.

Memphis enters the game having dropped three straight SU and ATS. The Clippers face the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night and in the second half of a back-to-back this season they are 6-7 SU and ATS.
