NBA Betting: Cavaliers on Road at the Thunder

The Cleveland Cavaliers head into the second half of a back-to-back situation on Thursday night when they travel to Oklahoma City to face the Thunder.

Cleveland was also in action Wednesday night on the road against the Indiana Pacers, carrying a three-game winning streak both straight up and against the spread into that contest. The Cavaliers have had trouble in the second half of their last three back-to-backs, losing all three SU and ATS. In their last 14 they’re a lousy 3-11 ATS.

Oklahoma City is on a mediocre run right now at 2-4 SU and 3-3 ATS in their last six. Last time out on Monday night they lost to the Pacers 93-90 as a 5-point underdog. They can take some solace in playing at home Thursday night, where they are 7-1 SU and ATS in their last eight.

Cleveland has rewarded bettors heavily in this matchup lately, having won four straight SU and ATS, and they’re 7-1 ATS in their last eight versus the Thunder.

Also on tap Thursday night the red-hot Boston Celtics head west to take on the Portland Trail Blazers.

Boston is also in action Wednesday night, and carries a seven-game winning streak into a matchup with the Sacramento Kings. During their seven-game streak the Celtics haven’t been a solid pick for bettors at 3-4 ATS.

Portland faced the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday, and escaped with a 114-113 win, but failed to cover the 2.5-point spread at the Bovada sportsbook. In their last five Portland is only 2-3 SU and ATS and a disappointing 4-8 SU and ATS in their last 12.

The Trail Blazers are 6-2 SU and 5-3 ATS in their last eight versus the Celtics and at home they’re 3-1 SU and ATS in their last four against Boston.

Finally, the Houston Rockets look to improve on their recent weak road numbers when they visit the Charlotte Hornets.

Houston rolled over the Orlando Magic 128-104 as a 12.5-point home favorite. Even after covering the spread, they are only 2-6 ATS in their last eight games and in their last eight road games they are 3-5 SU and 2-6 ATS. If the Rockets are listed as a road favorite that also doesn’t bode well for them. In their last five games as a road favorite they are 1-4 SU and 0-5 ATS.

The Hornets snapped a seven-game losing streak on Tuesday with a 111-107 win over the Brooklyn Nets as 10-point favorites. Charlotte is still 1-7-1 ATS in their last nine and they’ve dropped five straight ATS at home.

In the last 12 games between Houston and Charlotte the Rockets have dominated with a 11-1 record SU and 7-4-1 record ATS.
