NBA Betting: Hobbled Warriors Face the Bulls

The Golden State Warriors could be in tough without an injured Kevin Durant on Thursday night as they visit the Chicago Bulls.

The Warriors lost Durant to a knee injury Tuesday night, as they fell to the Washington Wizards 112-108 as a 7-point favorite. Durant was diagnosed with an MCL sprain and bone bruise and will be out at least a month. The loss on Tuesday snapped a four-game winning streak for the Warriors and extended their against the spread losing streak to four games.

The Bulls also lost on Tuesday night, getting hammered by the Denver Nuggets 125-107 as a 2.5-point favorite. That snapped Chicago’s four-game winning streak both straight up and ATS.

Golden State and Chicago clashed on February 8 and the Warriors came out on top 123-92 as an 18-point favorite at the Bovada sportsbook. The Warriors have won their last three games against the Bulls SU and ATS.

The rest of the Thursday night NBA schedule includes the Charlotte Hornets at the Phoenix Suns and the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Hornets recorded a 109-104 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday as a 5-point favorite, but they’ve been a horrible pick for bettors for weeks. In their last eight games the Hornets are 2-6 SU and 3-4-1 ATS, and in their last 16 games they are 3-13 SU and 4-10-2 ATS. On the road Charlotte sports an ugly 2-13 record SU and a 6-7-2 ATS mark in their last 15.

The Suns were routed by the Memphis Grizzlies 130-112 as a 9-point underdog on Tuesday. They’ve lost three straight at 1-2 ATS and on the road they have dropped six in a row at 2-4 ATS.

Phoenix is 7-2 SU and 6-3 ATS in their last nine versus the Hornets and at home they’re 9-3 SU and 5-6-1 ATS in their last 12.

The Thunder are coming off a 109-106 upset win over the Utah Jazz as a 2.5-point underdog. That was their fourth straight win SU and ATS, and they’re a strong 8-2 ATS in their last 10.

Portland dropped to 1-5 SU in their last six following a 120-113 loss to the Detroit Pistons as a 4-point underdog on Tuesday. In their last nine games the Blazers are 1-8 ATS.

In two meetings this season the Thunder and Blazers have split the matchups one win apiece with the home team winning each game SU and ATS. At home Portland has won their last five versus the Thunder at 3-2 ATS.
