NCAAF Saturday Kickoff Betting Preview

The college football season kicks off Saturday night with a pair of games on the schedule.

First up is an all-Florida matchup between the Miami Hurricanes and the Florida Gators that is a neutral-site game being played at Camping World Stadium in Orlando. The Gators are a 7.5-point favorite at Bovada Sportsbook.

The Gators ended last season on a four-game winning streak with a 3-1 mark against the spread. They were 9-2 straight up and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 and were a solid OVER play for totals bettors at 7-1 OVER in their last eight.

The Hurricanes struggled at the end of last season with a 2-5 record SU and ATS in their last seven games. Miami was a winning UNDER play for totals bettors with seven straight UNDERs. As an underdog, the Hurricanes have lived up to the billing at 1-6 SU and ATS in their last seven, and 4-14 SU and 5-13 ATS in their last 18.

The Gators and Hurricanes last met up in 2013 when Miami won 21-16 as a 3-point underdog. The Hurricanes have dominated this matchup with a 5-1 record SU and ATS in their last six against the Gators. The favorite in this matchup is 4-2 SU in the last six, but it hasn’t translated to profits for bettors as they were 2-4 ATS.

Arizona an 11-point favorite at Hawaii

In Saturday’s other game, the Arizona Wildcats visit the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors as an 11-point road favorite.

Arizona finished last season 2-4 SU in its last six but was 4-2 ATS. The Wildcats have been awful on the road the last few seasons at 1-7 SU and 2-6 ATS, although as a road favorite they’re 10-1 SU and 7-4 ATS in their last 11 games.

Hawaii also finished last season poorly with a 2-5 record SU and 1-5-1 record ATS in its last seven games. Playing at home hasn’t been much of an advantage for the Warriors as they are 1-3 SU and 0-3-1 ATS in their last four, and 3-15-1 ATS in their last 19. As a home underdog, the Warriors are 2-6 SU and ATS in their last eight.

The Wildcats and Warriors last met up in 2016 when Arizona rolled to a 47-28 win as 23.5-point home favorites.
