NFL Betting: Most Regular-Season Losses Odds

Who’s going to be the worst of the worst in the NFL this season? Figure that out and you could make a few bucks on the Most Losses in the NFL prop at Bovada Sportsbook.

Last season the Cincinnati Bengals were the worst team in the NFL with 14 losses. That allowed them to draft quarterback Joe Burrow first overall in this year’s draft. It also raised the Bengals’ profile in the eyes of the oddsmakers who don’t have them listed as the favorites to lead the league in losses this season.

Jaguars +325 to occupy NFL basement in 2020 season

The favorite to top the NFL in losses this season is the Jacksonville Jaguars at +325. Last season Jacksonville lost 10 games. The Jaguars are expected to give Gardner Minshew another shot at the starting quarterback job and he’ll be surrounded by a lackluster offense. It could be even worse if running back Leonard Fournette is moved.

Following the Jaguars on the odds at Bovada are the Washington Redskins and Carolina Panthers, both at +600, and the Bengals at +650.

Washington lost 13 games last season to finish just behind Cincinnati in the losses department. The Redskins don’t appear to have any impact players on offense and could be bound for even more losses this season. The only saving grace for the ’Skins may be that they’ll get two games against the New York Giants and the schedule makers have also blessed them with matchups against Carolina and the Detroit Lions.

Daunting schedule may take down Panthers

The Panthers lost 11 games last season in what turned out to be Cam Newton’s last in Carolina. They brought in Teddy Bridgewater as their new starting quarterback and he will have some weapons at his disposal in Christian McCaffrey, D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson. The Panthers’ schedule could make wins hard to come by with two games against the New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers as well as contests against the Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings.

The Bengals have nowhere to go but up after last year’s 14-loss season. Outside of their divisional matchups, they’ll face the AFC South and NFC East this season, along with the Los Angeles Chargers and Miami Dolphins.

Lions present value with +1000 odds

If you’re looking for a value pick this season, the Detroit Lions could be worth a few bucks at +1000. Detroit lost 13 games last season and has a tough divisional schedule against Green Bay, Minnesota and the Chicago Bears. Last season the Lions were 0-6 within the division. Detroit will also have tough matchups against New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Tennessee and Indianapolis. What will likely determine if the Lions finish with the worst record in the NFL this season is how they fare against Jacksonville and Washington.
