NFL Week 14 Betting Preview and Trends

Week 14 in the NFL begins Thursday night with an AFC South matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans.

Staying in the AFC South, on Sunday the Indianapolis Colts visit the Houston Texans as a 5-point underdog. The Texans continue to roll with nine straight wins during which they are 6-3 ATS. In Week 4, Houston defeated Indianapolis 37-34 as a 1-point favorite. The Colts have struggled on the road in recent years at 3-12 SU and 6-9 ATS in their last 15. However, they are 4-1 SU and 4-0-1 ATS in their last five at Houston.

In the NFC East this week, rivals square off for top spot in the division when the Dallas Cowboys host the Philadelphia Eagles as a 3.5-point favorite. In Week 10, Dallas defeated Philadelphia 27-20 as a 7.5-point road underdog. Dallas enters the rematch having won four straight SU and ATS, and at home the Cowboys are 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS in their last six. The Eagles are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games, but in Dallas they’re 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS in their last five.

Dolphins 4-1 SU, ATS in last five at home vs Patriots

Continuing with the divisional matchups, the Miami Dolphins are an 8-point home underdog vs the New England Patriots. The Patriots are 8-1 SU and 7-2 ATS in their last nine, and in Week 4 they crushed Miami 38-7 as a 6.5-point favorite. The Dolphins are 5-1 SU and ATS in their last six home games, and they’re a surprising 4-1 SU and ATS in their last five at home vs the Patriots.

In the NFC South, the New Orleans Saints will be out for some revenge when they face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an 8.5-point road favorite. In Week 1, Tampa Bay upset the Saints 48-40 as a 10-point underdog. As a home underdog, the Buccaneers have been a solid bet lately, having won three straight, and they’re 6-1 ATS in their last seven. The Saints are 6-2 SU and ATS in their last eight as a road favorite, but they’re 3-6 ATS in their last nine in Tampa Bay.

On Sunday night the Chicago Bears are a 3-point home underdog vs the Los Angeles Rams. The Bears have dominated this matchup at 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS in their last six vs the Rams and overall they’re 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 as a home underdog. The Rams are 5-5-2 ATS in their last 12 games and they’re 10-1 SU and 6-5 ATS in their last 11 as a road favorite.
