NFL Week 14 Betting Preview and Trends

Week 14 in the NFL’s Sunday schedule is loaded with potential playoff previews, including a rematch of last year’s AFC championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots.

At Bovada Sportsbook, New England is a 3-point home favorite. The Patriots are coming off a 28-22 loss to the Houston Texans that dropped them to 7-5 against the spread. They continue to be nearly unbeatable at home with a 21-game winning streak, during which they’re 16-5 ATS.

The Chiefs are 4-2 ATS in their last six after blowing out the Oakland Raiders 40-9 as an 11-point favorite last week. As an underdog, the Chiefs have been a solid bet with a 5-1-1 ATS record in their last seven and a 9-2-1 ATS mark in their last 12.

Last season the Patriots defeated the Chiefs twice, once in the regular season and once in the playoffs, while posting a 1-1 ATS record. At home to the Chiefs, the Patriots are 7-1 straight up and 4-4 ATS in their last eight.

Bills a 6.5-point home underdog to soaring Ravens

The Buffalo Bills currently occupy the first wild-card spot in the AFC, which could earn them a future playoff date with the Baltimore Ravens, whom they face on Sunday as a 6.5-point home underdog.

Buffalo is 4-1 SU and 4-0-1 ATS in its last five games following last week’s 26-15 upset win over the Dallas Cowboys as 6.5-point underdogs. In their last six games as an underdog, the Bills are 5-0-1 ATS. However, as a home underdog, they’re 2-6 SU and 3-5 ATS in their last eight.

Baltimore has won eight straight while going 5-2-1 ATS. On the road, the Ravens have been very profitable at 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine. Last season they crushed the Bills 47-3 as a 7.5-point favorite, and in their last seven matchups, Baltimore is 5-2 SU and 4-3 ATS.

Saints favored over 49ers in showdown of 10-win teams

In the NFC on Sunday, a pair of 10-2 teams clash when the New Orleans Saints host the San Francisco 49ers as a 2.5-point favorite.

The Saints are 9-1 SU and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games after getting past the Atlanta Falcons 26-18 as a 7-point favorite last week. As a home favorite, the Saints have been a disappointment for bettors at 2-7 ATS in their last nine.

San Francisco is 3-3-1 ATS in its last seven following last week’s 20-17 loss to the Ravens as a 6-point underdog. As an underdog, the 49ers have won four straight ATS.

The Saints are 8-3 SU and 5-5-1 ATS in their last 11 vs the 49ers.
