NFL Wild Card Sunday Betting Preview

Sunday’s batch of wild-card games features another road favorite and the largest spread on the board during Wild Card Weekend.

Sunday begins with the Baltimore Ravens at the Tennessee Titans as a 3-point road favorite at Bovada Sportsbook. Baltimore was playing some of its best football of the year at the end of the regular season with a five-game winning streak straight up and a six-game winning streak against the spread.

Henry, Titans have upset Ravens in last two meetings

As a road favorite, the Ravens are a strong 11-1 SU and 8-2-2 ATS in their last 12 games. They’re also 5-0 ATS in their last five road games in the playoffs.

Tennessee was 11-5 SU this season but only 7-9 ATS. As a home underdog, the Titans are 3-4 SU and 4-3 ATS in their last seven. At home in the postseason, Tennessee is a disappointing 1-6 ATS in its last seven.

In Week 11, Tennessee upset Baltimore 30-24 as a 6-point road underdog. The Titans also upset the Ravens in last season’s playoffs, winning 28-12 as 10-point underdogs. In the last 24 matchups between the Titans and Ravens, the favorite is 6-17-1 ATS.

Saints have covered only twice in last 13 as playoff fave

In Sunday’s second game, the New Orleans Saints host the Chicago Bears as a 10-point favorite.

New Orleans finished the season 7-1-1 ATS in its last nine games. In the playoffs, the Saints are 4-6 SU and ATS in their last 10, while at home in the playoffs they’re 3-9 ATS in their last 12. As a playoff favorite, the Saints are a money-losing 2-11 ATS in their last 13.

Chicago has been a solid OVER bet for totals bettors lately at 5-1 OVER in their last six. On the road, the Bears have won their last two games and they’re 6-3 SU in their last nine road games. However, in their last nine playoff games, Chicago is 2-7 ATS.

In Week 8, New Orleans defeated Chicago 26-23 as a 5.5-point favorite. The Saints have won six straight against the Bears while going 4-2 ATS.

Browns trying to beat Steelers on consecutive weekends

In the final game of Wild Card Weekend, the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Cleveland Browns as a 6-point favorite.

Pittsburgh was 7-1 SU and 5-3 ATS at home this season. In the playoffs, the Steelers are only 2-5-2 ATS in their last nine, and as a playoff favorite they’re 3-4-1 ATS in their last eight.

Cleveland was 6-10 ATS this season and as an underdog is 2-6 ATS in its last eight games. On the road, the Browns have been a bad bet at 3-11 ATS in their last 14.

In Week 6, Pittsburgh rolled over Cleveland 38-7 as a 3-point favorite. In Week 17, Cleveland defeated a short-handed Pittsburgh squad 24-22 as a 10-point favorite. In their last 23 home games against the Browns, the Steelers are 21-2 SU and 13-9-1 ATS.
