Super Bowl 57 Odds Update

With only four teams remaining in the hunt for the Vince Lombardi Trophy, the favorite to win Super Bowl 57 has changed heading into the conference championship round.

At Bovada Sportsbook, the favorite to win Super Bowl 57 is the Philadelphia Eagles at +235. When the odds were set last week heading into the divisional round, the Eagles were fourth in line on the Super Bowl futures at +550.

Eagles atop Super Bowl odds after routing Giants

The Eagles crushed the New York Giants 38-7 as 8-point favorites in the divisional round, likely one reason the oddsmakers gave them a boost on the Super Bowl futures. Philadelphia is also a 2.5-point favorite at home in its NFC conference championship matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. When favored at home, the Eagles are 13-2 straight up and 10-4-1 against the spread in their last 15.

Following the Eagles on the Super Bowl futures are the Cincinnati Bengals at +260. Last year’s Super Bowl runners-up return to the AFC title game after posting a 27-10 upset win over the Buffalo Bills as 6-point underdogs last week. Cincinnati is a rare road favorite this week in its matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Bengals are 1-point favorites at Bovada and enter the matchup on a 10-game winning streak, which includes winning five straight on the road.

Chiefs slip down board following Mahomes injury

Grabbing the third spot on the Super Bowl futures are the Chiefs at +285. That’s slightly better than the +300 odds they held entering the divisional round when they were the Super Bowl favorites. The Chiefs got past the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-20 as 9.5-point favorites last week, but it wasn’t all good news as starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered a high-ankle sprain. The injury to Mahomes is in part why the Chiefs are home underdogs this week against Cincinnati and have dropped down on the Super Bowl futures.

Closing out the Super Bowl futures are the San Francisco 49ers at +330. That’s up slightly from the +400 odds they were getting last week before defeating the Dallas Cowboys 19-12 as 3.5-point favorites. The 49ers are 2.5-point underdogs this week against Philadelphia but that may not be a bad thing as they are 5-2 SU and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games as an underdog.
