UFC Fight Night 153 Betting Odds Preview

The UFC ventures to Sweden this weekend, setting up shop in Stockholm on Saturday for UFC Fight Night 153: Gustafsson vs Smith.

The main event this weekend is a light heavyweight bout between Alexander Gustafsson and Anthony Smith. At Bovada Sportsbook, Gustafsson is a -305 favorite and Smith a +235 underdog.

Gustafsson is 18-5 with 11 wins by knockout, but he is a disappointing 2-3 in his last five fights. He last fought at UFC 232 in December when he lost to Jon Jones by third-round TKO as a +125 underdog.

Smith is 31-14 with 17 wins by KO and 11 by submission. He also faced Jon Jones in his last fight. He battled Jones at UFC 235 in March and lost by unanimous decision as a +450 underdog.

Oezdemir, Latifi looking for bounce-backs

Two other fighters looking to rebound from losses also face off this weekend when Volkan Oezdemir takes on Ilir Latifi in a light heavyweight bout. The oddsmakers have this one pretty close with Oezdemir listed at -120 and Latifi at -110.

Oezdemir has lost his last three fights to sit at 16-4 with 12 wins by KO. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 147 in March, losing to Dominick Reyes by split decision as a +190 underdog.

Latifi is 14-6 and one no contest, with five wins by KO and five by submission. His last fight was at UFC 232 in December when he lost to Corey Anderson by unanimous decision as a -145 favorite.

Rakic puts 11-fight win streak on line

One other interesting matchup at UFC Fight Night 153 is a light heavyweight bout between Jimi Manuwa and Aleksandar Rakic. At Bovada Sportsbook, Rakic is a -205 favorite and Manuwa a +165 underdog.

Rakic has won 11 straight fights and owns an 11-1 record with eight wins by KO. He last fought at UFC 231 in December, defeating Devin Clark by first-round TKO as a -715 favorite.

Manuwa has dropped his last three fights to lower his record to 17-5 with 15 wins by KO. His last fight was also at UFC 231, where he lost to Thiago Santos by second-round KO as a +150 underdog.
