UFC on ESPN 12 Betting Odds Preview

The UFC closes out a busy June this weekend with another event at its Apex facility in Las Vegas, UFC on ESPN 12: Poirier vs Hooker.

The main event is a lightweight bout between Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker. At Bovada Sportsbook, Poirier is a -210 favorite and Hooker a +170 underdog.

Poirier is coming off his first loss since 2016, which dropped his overall record to 25-6 and one no contest, with 12 wins by knockout and seven by submission. He last fought at UFC 242 in September when he lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov by third-round submission as a +285 underdog in a fight for the UFC lightweight title.

Hooker is 7-1 in his last eight fights and overall stands at 20-8 with 10 wins by KO and seven by submission. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 168 in February, defeating Paul Felder by split decision as a -175 favorite.

Perry favored over Gall in welterweight scrap

Also on the main card this weekend is a welterweight bout between Mike Perry and Mickey Gall. At Bovada, Perry is a -300 favorite and Gall a +230 underdog.

Perry is an ugly 2-5 in his last seven fights, dropping his record to 13-6 with 11 wins by KO. He last fought in December at UFC 245 where he lost to Geoff Neal by first-round TKO as a +185 underdog.

Gall is 6-2 with none of his wins coming by KO and five coming by submission. He last fought at UFC on ESPN 5 in August, when he defeated Salim Touahri by unanimous decision as a +110 underdog.

Heavyweights Greene, Villante square off

One other notable fight on the main card this weekend is a heavyweight tilt between Gian Villante and Maurice Greene. At Bovada, Greene is a -225 favorite and Villante a +175 underdog.

Greene has lost his last two fights, dropping his record to 8-4 with two wins by KO and four by submission. He last fought at UFC 246 in January where he defeated Aleksei Oleinik by second-round submission as a -130 underdog.

Villante is 2-5 in his last seven fights and 17-11 overall with 10 wins by KO. This will be his first fight in nearly 16 months. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 145 in February 2019 when he lost to Michal Oleksiejczuk by first-round TKO as a +160 underdog.
