UFC on ESPN 14 Betting Odds Preview

The final event (for now) on the UFC's Fight Island arrives this weekend as UFC on ESPN: Whittaker vs. Till takes over Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

The main event this weekend is a middleweight bout between Robert Whittaker and Darren Till. At the Bovada Sportsbook Whittaker is a slim -130 favorite and Till is an even-money underdog.

Whittaker, the former UFC middleweight champion, had a nine-fight winning streak snapped in his last fight, dropping his record to 20-5 with nine wins by knockout and five by submission. He lost the middleweight title in his last fight at UFC 243 in October where he fell to Israel Adesanya by unanimous decision as a -110 underdog.

Till is 18-2-1 with 10 wins by KO and two by submission. He last fought at UFC 244 in November where he defeated Kelvim Gastelum by split decision as a +160 underdog.

Rua the favorite against Nogueira on Saturday

Also on the main card this weekend is a third fight between light heavyweights Mauricio Rua and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. At Bovada Rua is a -190 favorite and Nogueira is a +155 underdog.

Rua is 26-11-1 with 21 wins by KO. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 164 in November where he fought Paul Craig to a draw as a -265 favorite.

Nogueira is 23-9 with eight wins by KO and six by submission. He last fought at UFC 237 in May 2019 where he lost to Ryan Spann as a +100 underdog.

Rua and Nogueira first fought 15 years ago at PRIDE 2005. Rua won that fight by unanimous decision. They met up again at UFC 190 in August 2015. Rua won again by unanimous decision as a -245 favorite.

Werdum the underdog in bout with Gustafsson

One other interesting bout on the main card this weekend is a heavyweight fight between Fabricio Werdum and Alexander Gustafsson. At Bovada Gustafsson is a -360 favorite and Werdum a +270 underdog.

Gustafsson has lost his last two fights and four of his last six to drop to 18-6 with 11 wins by KO. He last fought at UFC Fight Night 153 in June 2019 where he lost to Anthony Smith by submission as a -350 favorite.

Werdum has also lost his last two fights and owns an overall record of 23-9-1 with six wins by KO and 11 by submission. He last fought at UFC 249 in May where he lost to Aleksei Oleinik by split decision as a -355 favorite.
