NBA Betting: Rockets Eye Liftoff Vs Nuggets

The underachieving Houston Rockets will try to post back-to-back wins for only the second time this season Tuesday night when they visit the Denver Nuggets.

Houston defeated the Indiana Pacers 115-103 as a 2.5-point favorite at Bovada Sportsbook on Sunday. Even after covering the spread Houston is still only 4-8 against the spread this season.

Denver is struggling right now having lost three in a row straight up and four straight ATS. Denver’s last two losses both came as the favorite. At home the Nuggets have lost their last two games SU and ATS, but before that they had won 13 straight in Denver at 8-5 ATS.

In this matchup Houston has dominated with seven straight wins vs Denver while going 5-2 ATS. In their last three trips to Denver, the Rockets are 3-0 SU and ATS.

Hawks 3-4 ATS in last 7 vs Warriors

Also on the Tuesday night schedule, the Golden State Warriors host the Atlanta Hawks. The Warriors should be massive favorites in this one, but it will be interesting to see what a groin injury to Stephen Curry will do to the line at Bovada Sportsbook.

Golden State will be playing the second game of a back-to-back after facing the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night. Heading into that game the Warriors were 9-1 SU and 8-2 ATS in their last 10.

Atlanta has dropped four straight while going 2-2 ATS. In their last nine they are only 1-8 SU with a 3-6 record ATS. Not surprisingly, the Hawks haven’t had much luck vs the Warriors lately. Atlanta has lost seven straight vs the Warriors while going 3-4 ATS.

Casey makes return to Toronto with Pistons

Looking ahead to Wednesday night, the NBA-best Toronto Raptors will be home to the Detroit Pistons and their former coach Dwane Casey.

Toronto had won six straight at 4-1-1 ATS heading into a Monday night matchup with the New Orleans Pelicans. At home this season the Raptors are undefeated at 7-0 SU, but they’re 4-3 ATS.

The Pistons haven’t been driving on all cylinders lately at 2-6 SU and 4-4 ATS in their last eight. However, they’ve been a good pick on the road for bettors lately at 4-1 ATS in their last five.

In this matchup the Raptors have won six straight with a 3-2-1 record ATS. At home vs the Pistons, the Raptors are 5-1 SU in their last six and 2-4 ATS.
