Boston Defeats Minnesota 127-117 - Recap

The Timberwolves were burned for 29 points by Gordon Hayward on Friday as the Celtics picked up a 127-117 win at Target Center.

Boston won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -8.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 226.0.

Jayson Tatum had 28 points for Boston and Jaylen Brown chipped in with 25 points. Marcus Smart had 10 assists for the Celtics, while Daniel Theis was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 16 boards.

Minnesota got 27 points from Malik Beasley in a losing cause and another 19 points from Naz Reid. D'Angelo Russell contributed 13 assists for the Timberwolves, while Naz Reid had 9 rebounds.

The Celtics hit the break winning 61-53 before taking care of business in the second half.

Boston won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 58-43.

Next game, Boston takes its act on the road to face Los Angeles looking for another win. For Minnesota, they head on the road to face Denver.
