Recap - Hawks Defeat New Orleans 126-103
The battle between the Hawks and Pelicans didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as New Orleans was handed a 126-103 defeat on Friday at Smoothie King Center.
Atlanta was a favorite by -1.5 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 213.0.
Bogdan Bogdanovic had 26 points for Atlanta and Kevin Huerter chipped in with 24 points. Lou Williams had 8 assists for the Hawks, while Clint Capela was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.
New Orleans got 21 points from Kira Lewis Jr. in a losing cause and another 16 points from James Johnson. James Johnson contributed 6 assists for the Pelicans, while Willy Hernangomez had 9 rebounds.
The Hawks hit the break winning 55-54 before taking care of business in the second half.
Atlanta won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 42-34.
Next game, Atlanta takes its act home to face Golden State looking for another win. For New Orleans, they head on the road to face Houston.
