Dallas got 42 points and 13 rebounds from Luka Doncic en route to a 117-112 victory over Portland on Saturday at American Airlines Center.
Dallas did not, however, defeat the Trail Blazers against the spread, which closed at -7.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 218.5.
Dallas got 20 points from Spencer Dinwiddie and another 19 points from Christian Wood. Luka Doncic contributed 10 assists, while Luka Doncic cleaned the glass with 13 rebounds.
The Trail Blazers got a 37-point performance from Jerami Grant, who was supported by 29 points from Damian Lillard. Damian Lillard had 12 assists in a losing cause for Portland, while Josh Hart grabbed 9 rebounds.
The Mavericks hit the break winning 59-57 before taking care of business in the second half.
Portland won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 44-40.
Dallas looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Clippers. The Trail Blazers will aim to get back on the winning track vs. San Antonio.
