Trinity Baptist Falls 104-44 to Bethune-Cookman - Recap
The battle between Bethune-Cookman and Trinity Baptist didnt turn out to be much of a battle at all as Trinity Baptist was handed a 104-44 defeat on Tuesday at Moore Gymnasium.
Bethune-Cookman got 18 points from Shawntrez Davis and another 17 points from Mark Gordon. Malik Maitland contributed 4 assists, while Cletrell Pope cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Trinity Baptist got 11 points from Chandler Rivers in a losing cause and another 11 points from Marquis Duncanson. Skyler Snook contributed 2 assists for them, while Patrick Jackson had 5 rebounds.
Bethune-Cookman was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Bethune-Cookman won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 51-20.
Next game, Bethune-Cookman takes its act home to face Johnson University-Florida looking for another win. For Trinity Baptist, they head on the road to face Charleston Southern.
