Middle Tennessee Defeats UTSA 89-86 - Recap

Middle Tennessee got 24 points from Donovan Sims en route to a 89-86 victory over UTSA on Thursday at Murphy Center.

Middle Tennessee won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +4.0-point spread as underdogs.

Middle Tennessee got 21 points from Antonio Green and another 20 points from James Hawthorne. Donovan Sims contributed 6 assists, while James Hawthorne cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.

UTSA got a 25-point performance from Jhivvan Jackson, who was supported by 24 points from Keaton Wallace. Giovanni De Nicolao had 5 assists in a losing cause for UTSA, while Keaton Wallace grabbed 10 rebounds.

Middle Tennessee was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

UTSA won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 39-34.

Middle Tennessee looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the UTEP. UTSA will aim to get back on the winning track at UAB.
