Northwestern State Falls 83-60 to Nicholls State - Recap
The battle between Nicholls State and Northwestern State didnt turn out to be much of a battle at all as Northwestern State was handed a 83-60 defeat on Wednesday at Stopher Gym.
Jeremiah Jefferson had 25 points for Nicholls State and Jeremiah Buford chipped in with 16 points. Kevin Johnson had 11 assists for them, while Daniel Regis was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.
Northwestern State got a 11-point performance from DeAndre Love, who was supported by 10 points from Ishmael Lane. Ishmael Lane had 3 assists in a losing cause for Northwestern State, while Malik Metoyer grabbed 8 rebounds.
Nicholls State was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Northwestern State had a 30-24 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Nicholls State heads into a battle against Southeastern Louisiana. Northwestern State, meanwhile, will have their next action against Central Arkansas.
