Lipscomb cruised to victory on Thursday, running NJIT out of the gym and running up a 78-55 score at Allen Arena.
Lipscomb got 22 points from Garrison Mathews and another 17 points from Matt Rose. Kenny Cooper contributed 5 assists, while Garrison Mathews cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
NJIT got 13 points from Diandre Wilson in a losing cause and another 10 points from Zach Cooks. Diandre Wilson contributed 2 assists for them, while Abdul Lewis had 6 rebounds.
Lipscomb was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Lipscomb had a 37-20 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
