UTRGV grabbed a 74-73 win over Grambling State on Wednesday, behind a 19-point effort from Tyson Smith at UTPA Fieldhouse.
UTRGV earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -10.0-point spread.
