Maine Defeats Merrimack 84-64 - Recap
The battle between Maine and Merrimack didnt turn out to be much of a battle at all as Merrimack was handed a 84-64 defeat on Wednesday at Cross Insurance Center.
Maine got 37 points from Andrew Fleming and another 19 points from Vilgot Larsson. Sergio El Darwich contributed 6 assists, while Nedeljko Prijovic cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Merrimack got a 16-point performance from Jordan Minor, who was supported by 12 points from Jaleel Lord. Juvaris Hayes had 5 assists in a losing cause for Merrimack, while Juvaris Hayes grabbed 7 rebounds.
Maine was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Maine had a 34-26 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Maine heads into a battle against Harvard. Merrimack, meanwhile, will have their next action against Northwestern.
