Butler blew out New Orleans on Saturday, running up the score in a 79-53 win at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
Butler got 18 points from Bryce Nze and another 16 points from Jordan Tucker. Aaron Thompson contributed 10 assists, while Bryce Nze cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
New Orleans got 13 points from Damion Rosser in a losing cause and another 12 points from Troy Green. Charles Bohannon contributed 2 assists for them, while Gerrale Gates had 7 rebounds.
Butler was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Butler won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 38-21.
Next game, Butler takes its act home to face Minnesota looking for another win. For New Orleans, they head on the road to face Southern Methodist.
