Oakland earned a 60-50 victory over Hartford on Monday, getting 17 points from Xavier Hill-Mais at Athletics Center Orena.
Oakland got 12 points from Daniel Oladapo and another 11 points from Kevin Kangu. Xavier Hill-Mais contributed 3 assists, while Daniel Oladapo cleaned the glass with 12 rebounds.
Hartford got 11 points from D.J. Mitchell in a losing cause and another 11 points from Hunter Marks. Traci Carter contributed 4 assists for them, while Hunter Marks had 13 rebounds.
Oakland was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Oakland won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 43-23.
Next game, Oakland takes its act on the road to face Northern Illinois looking for another win. For Hartford, they head home to face Emerson College.
