Toledo Falls 64-62 to Notre Dame - Recap
Dane Goodwin scored 16 points leading Notre Dame to a 64-62 victory over Toledo at Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center on Thursday.
Notre Dame earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -8.0-point spread.
Notre Dame got 11 points from T.J. Gibbs and another 10 points from Nate Laszewski. Rex Pflueger contributed 5 assists, while John Mooney cleaned the glass with 15 rebounds.
Toledo got a 23-point performance from Marreon Jackson, who was supported by 16 points from Luke Knapke. Spencer Littleson had 4 assists in a losing cause for Toledo, while Willie Jackson grabbed 20 rebounds.
Notre Dame trailed at halftime, 27-25.
Toledo won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 53-42.
Notre Dame looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Fairleigh Dickinson. Toledo will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Northwestern Ohio.
