Hampton Defeats Regent 93-50 - Recap
The battle between Hampton and Regent didnt turn out to be much of a battle at all as Regent was handed a 93-50 defeat on Thursday at Hampton Convocation Center.
Ben Stanley had 20 points for Hampton and Jermaine Marrow chipped in with 19 points. Jermaine Marrow had 7 assists for them, while Ben Stanley was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 11 boards.
Regent got 15 points from Damon Fitzgerald in a losing cause and another 8 points from Kristopher Warren. Khalil Waleed contributed 4 assists for them, while Damon Fitzgerald had 12 rebounds.
Hampton was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Hampton won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 47-40.
Next game, Hampton takes its act on the road to face Illinois looking for another win. For Regent, they head on the road to face Howard.
