South Carolina State Falls 97-60 to Vanderbilt - Recap
South Carolina State was run off the court by Vanderbilt on Friday as they blasted them 97-60 at Memorial Gym.
Vanderbilt got 20 points from Aaron Nesmith and another 19 points from Clevon Brown. Scotty Pippen Jr. contributed 8 assists, while Dylan Disu cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
South Carolina State got 9 points from Damani Applewhite in a losing cause and another 9 points from Tariq Simmons. Rayshawn Neal contributed 3 assists for them, while Damani Applewhite had 6 rebounds.
Vanderbilt was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Vanderbilt had a 39-19 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Vanderbilt looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Southeastern Louisiana. South Carolina State will aim to get back on the winning track at Austin Peay.
