Hawaii earned a 79-71 victory over New Orleans on Sunday, getting 24 points from Eddie Stansberry at Stan Sheriff Center.
Hawaii got 15 points from Zigmars Raimo and another 12 points from Samuta Avea. Drew Buggs contributed 7 assists, while Zigmars Raimo cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
New Orleans got a 17-point performance from Bryson Robinson, who was supported by 14 points from Gerrale Gates. Troy Green had 4 assists in a losing cause for New Orleans, while Gerrale Gates grabbed 10 rebounds.
Hawaii was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
