UAB grabbed a 57-48 win over Lamar on Tuesday, behind a 13-point effort from Tyreek Scott-Grayson at Bartow Arena.
UAB got 12 points from Kassim Nicholson and another 10 points from Jalen Benjamin. Tavin Lovan contributed 4 assists, while Tavin Lovan cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
Lamar got 16 points from T.J. Atwood in a losing cause and another 12 points from Davion Buster. V.J. Holmes contributed 4 assists for them, while T.J. Atwood had 12 rebounds.
UAB was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
UAB won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 48-36.
Next game, UAB takes its act on the road to face Kentucky looking for another win. For Lamar, they head on the road to face Texas Southern.
