Chattanooga got 15 points from Matt Ryan en route to a 68-64 victory over UNC Asheville on Saturday at Kimmel Arena.
Chattanooga got 11 points from Maurice Commander and another 11 points from Ramon Vila. A.J. Caldwell contributed 3 assists, while Ramon Vila cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
UNC Asheville got 17 points from Lavar Batts Jr. in a losing cause and another 13 points from Tajion Jones. DeVon Baker contributed 4 assists for them, while Coty Jude had 7 rebounds.
Chattanooga led at halftime, 36-32.
Chattanooga had a 33-26 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Chattanooga takes its act home to face Cumberland looking for another win. For UNC Asheville, they head on the road to face Presbyterian.
