Baylor grabbed a 59-44 win over Texas on Saturday, behind a 21-point effort from MaCio Teague at Ferrell Center.
Baylor won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -8.5-point spread as favorites.
Baylor got 13 points from Jared Butler and another 7 points from Matthew Mayer. Davion Mitchell contributed 3 assists, while Freddie Gillespie cleaned the glass with 12 rebounds.
Texas got a 13-point performance from Jericho Sims, who was supported by 11 points from Courtney Ramey. Kamaka Hepa had 3 assists in a losing cause for Texas, while Jericho Sims grabbed 15 rebounds.
Baylor was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Baylor won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 44-31.
Next game, Baylor takes its act on the road to face Texas Tech looking for another win. For Texas, they head home to face Oklahoma.
